Khruangbin unveils two new songs “Time (You and I)” and “So We Won’t Forget”

Khruangbin unveils two new songs “Time (You and I)” and “So We Won’t Forget” first two singles from their forthcoming third, full-length studio album “Mordechai”. “Mordechai” follows the band’s previous 2018 album, “Con Todo El Mundo”, and the collaborative EP with Leon Bridges, “Texas Sun”, from earlier this year.

Khruangbin is a three-piece band from Texas, formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson on drums. They took influences from the 1960's Thai funk, even in their name, which literally translates to "Engine Fly" in Thai. Khruangbin is steeped in the bass-heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration, Tarantino soundtracks, and surf-rock cool.

Khruangbin also released music videos for both songs. “Mordechai” will feature vocals on nearly every song, and musically that album will explore many different sounds, from East-Asian surf rock to Persian funk and Jamaican dub.
