Masego and FKJ drop official video for their viral hit “Tadow”
When I was planning to start this blog this song Masego and FKJ “Tadow”, was all over my playlists on all the platforms and all devices. So catchy, so good and so satisfying. I could listen to it in a loop, on constant repeat. It’s an ideal description of what this blog is all about. A new fresh sound, a mix of music genres with respect to tradition. Nice blend of jazz, soul, beats, and electronics. And the best part of it that this track was all improvised by two talented musicians who recorded the whole artistic process and then they shared with fans.
Two years ago the track, FKJ shared on his Facebook page:
Spent a day with the great Masego Music in Red Bull Studios Paris. Nothing was planned and we kept improvising. This is one of the jams we did that day.
Here is the original longer version of Masego and FKJ “Tadow” from Red Bull Studio Paris:
Recorded jam session between two multi-instrumentalists Masego and producer FKJ, became an unexpected hit across streaming platforms.
Since its release, “Tadow” has accumulated over 130 million views on YouTube, and over one million streams a week for the last 18 weeks.
To celebrate the two-year anniversary of their viral video for “Tadow,” Masego and FKJ drop an official video directed by Joe Weil.

“Tadow” appears on Masego’s debut album “Lady Lady”, which was released late last year. He self-describes his music as “traphousejazz”.
