Song of the Day: Mumu Fresh – Back To The Money
Mumu Fresh and DJ Dummy released the third single Back To The Money from their new collaborative album, Vintage Babies II: Queen of Culture.
DJ Dummy leading production duties, the sequel to 2017’s Vintage Babies finds Mumu reaching new heights sonically as well as creatively. Queen of Culture is a musical social commentary on culture, love, life, race, politics, equity, self care, spiritual awareness, the state of hiphop and more. Along with Hip-Hop historian Sway Calloway, Netflix Rhythm & Flow winner D Smoke, world renowned poet Amir Sulaiman, The Alpha Woman’s Bible author Raquel “Ra” Brown, Alex Isley, and famed Jazz Trumpeter Keyon Harrold, and Amber Navran (of Moonchild) all contribute to the project.
The album merges many vintage sounds from the black music lineage such as soul, hiphop, reggae, & jazz to tell inspiring stories and give perspective to our experience as melanated people born and bred in America, the pair said in a joint statement about the project.
