Lianne La Havas shared her new single “Bittersweet”
Lianne La Havas new single “Bittersweet” is here with us. And is such a joy!
La Havas is half Greek half Jamaican British born singer-songwriter and guitarist. She just returns after five years with a new delightful single. The song is called “Bittersweet” and has its premiere on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 Future Sounds show this evening. Single is promoting her long-awaited third studio album—the follow-up to acclaimed 2015’s “Blood”.
“I’d forgotten how much I love singing. I’ve tapped into the best and worst parts of me and while I didn’t expect this to be the direction of my new music, it’s my reality and it’s driven by emotion” Lianne La Havas said about her new single “Bittersweet”.
Her career began after singing backing vocals to various musicians, including singer Paloma Faith. Her official debut single “Lost & Found” was released in 2012, and her debut album “Is Your Love Big Enough?”, was released the same year on Warner Brothers. The album received positive reviews from critics and earned her a nomination for the BBC’s Sound of 2012 poll and awards for the iTunes Album of The Year 2012. In 2015 she released her Grammy-nominated sophomore album “Blood”.
Today Lianne has finally released the first single from her forthcoming studio album with a very smooth slow-burning soul track. The song is quite minimalistic but very melodic showcasing her incredible voice.
