Fresh Sounds: ŻYŃY – I Do

ŻYŃY new song I Do is a new release from U Know Me Records. The forthcoming album opens the second decade for the label, and a new chapter in the artist’s career.  ŻYŃY is a one-man project of Tomasz Woźniak, a graduate of the Jazz Department at the Academy of Music in Poznań (Poland) who also studied at Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. He is a multi-instrumentalist specialized in playing guitar and bass, a great turntablist, but most of all a producer, as proved by his latest album. He is inspired by many music genres, which you can clearly hear in his songs.

ŻYŃY played on most of the instruments (percussion played on MPC, guitar parts, bass, Hammonds, organ, synthesizers, and scratch), brass parts were played by Tomasz’s friends from the Academy of Music – Kacper Grzanka and Patryk Rynkiewicz trumpet, Kacper Krupa saxophone. The vocal is used in a quite unusual way, sampled, and treated as an equal instrument.
