Joe Armon-Jones feat. Georgia Anne Muldrow in ‘Yellow Dandelion’ from Armon-Jones upcoming album

Armon-Jones is set to release his eagerly anticipated second album ‘Turn To Clear View’ on September 20th via Brownswood Recordings. Album is promoted with a new single ‘Yellow Dandelion’. Los Angeles vocalist and producer Georgia Anne Muldrow added neo-soul feel to this jazzy funky jam.

Joe Armon Jones is one of the busiest musicians in London’s jazz and contemporary music scene. Away from his solo project, he’s a co-founder of Ezra Collective, regularly plays with London peers like Nubya Garcia, and has toured with the likes of Ata Kak, and Pharoah Monch. He won Session of the Year at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards and was nominated for the UK Act of the Year at the Jazz FM Awards.

The new album follows celebrated 2018 debut album “Starting Today”, praised by Pitchfork, Loud & Quiet and The Wire, the latter describing it as “bass-rich music hustle straight out of the London soul-jazz-dance lineage.” He’s performed on Boiler Room, Worldwide FM and toured across the UK and Europe, including a sold-out hometown show at London’s Village Underground.

‘Yellow Dandelion’ and the whole new album was recorded with a stellar band of Armon-Jones friends and fellow New London Jazz Scene representatives including Moses Boyd on drums, Nubya Garcia on tenor sax and Oscar Jerome on guitar. His music is a mixture of jazz, soul, funk, fusion, dub, hip hop, synths and heavy bass club culture with big respect to tradition following the path of Herbie Hancock’s musical style.

Turn To Clear View is co-produced by Armon-Jones and Maxwell Owin and features a guest appearance from Asheber, Jehst, and Obongjayar.
