Song of the Day: Anderson .Paak & Bruno Mars’s Silk Sonic – Leave The Door Open
Anderson .Paak & Bruno Mars premier their duo project Silk Sonic'sfirst single Leave The Door Open from their forthcoming album An Evening With Silk Sonic:
Leave The Door Open is a groovy, feel-good radio-friendly instant hit merging the talents of singer and rapper with a feel of 70s love songs nostalgia. The song was written by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, D’Mile, and Brody Brown, and produced by Mars and D’Mile. The duo was named Silk Sonic by Bootsy Collins, who appears on the album as a special guest host, and he made a band introduction in the intro track when they announced the collaboration a week ago.

Anderson .Paak had a really productive last year. He released one of the most important tracks of 2020 - Lockdown, and the remix version with Jay Rock, Dumbfoundead, Dominic Fike, SiR, Syd (of The Internet). He also shared a few collaborations like Don't Slack with Justin Timberlake from the movie Trolls 2, Cut Em In with Rick Ross, Yuuuu with Busta Rhymes, and JEWELZ produced by Timbaland. His last album is Grammy for Best R&B Album winner Ventura, from 2019, produced by Dr. Dre, with a huge list of great guests: André 3000, Smokey Robinson, Lalah Hathaway, Jazmine Sullivan, Sonyae Elise, Brandy, and Nate Dogg.
Bruno Mars last album was 24K Magic, from 2016 which won six Grammys in 2018 for Album of the Year and Best R&B Album, Record of the Year for the title track, and Song of The Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for That’s What I Like.
