Anderson .Paak with The Free Nationals gives an exclusive and intimate performance in Black Renaissance YouTube Originals clip.

Anderson .Paak performs his non-album single Lockdown, released in 2020 with the commemoration of Juneteenth in the United States. The music video, directed by Dave Meyers featured appearances from Jay Rock, Dumbfoundead, Dominic Fike, SiR, Syd (of The Internet) and other musicians.

.Paak and Bruno Mars announced they formed a band together called Silk Sonic. Their upcoming studio album is set to be titled An Evening with Silk Sonic and features Bootsy Collins.

The new special is available on the YouTube Originals Channel and showcases Black creators, artists, writers, storytellers, and history makers who have shaped our nation’s history; and the next generation of Black voices who are reimagining our future. The special includes dance, music, fashion, photography, literature, Afrofuturism, and the art of Black Women and LGBTQ+ artists.

The special features big names like President Obama and Michelle Obama, Stacey Abrams, H.E.R., Anderson .Paak, Killer Mike, Nas, and many more have helped break down barriers and pave the way for others. It’s a great way for the platform to end its celebration of Black History Month.
