Lexsoul Dancemachine Lexplosion II, Funk Embassy
The 8-track LP with new music provides firepower for the funk-soul-disco DJ, albeit remaining a pleasure treasure for the leisure listener. The first time, the 6 piece Estonian group has invited collaborators: the loose-wristed guitar funk icon Cory Wong; the Brazilian percussion maestro Luiz Black who’s gigged with James Brown. Raw street funk on one side, sweet soul on the flipside – Lexsoul Dancemachine aims to hypnotize feelgood music lovers with fundamental basslines, syncopated rhythms, and repetitive grooves. Although in between those hard-hitting sounds you’ll find some more tender melodies.

Camarão Orkestra Nação África, Favorite
Camarão Orkestra released new music on the album, Nação África. The eleven musicians, guided by Amanda Roldan’s silky voice and a guest appearance by Anthony Joseph (“Canto De Bahia”), explore and embrace the murmuring polyrhythm of Brazilian percussion instruments, vibrating berimbau and squeaking cuícas, pouring their tightly-wound funk bass into the groove and letting their jazz fly free, together and solo. They take your mind far away, on a journey paved by analog synths with Fender Rhodes crystals to the horizon where the sun’s last glimmer has finally faded away.
