It's sadly the end of summer, but London’s Naia brings us some funky “Heatwave”. Latino flavored funky track with a groovy bassline, energetic horns, kicking solos and sweet vocals it’s all that we need for a proper (end of) summer banger, and Naia delivered it all. The heat is on. I hope Naia will keep the temperature hot with the new releases.

Naia are a sensational four-piece band, emerging onto the London jazz scene. An eclectic fusion of Latin, funk and neo-soul defines their sound, with live performances that never fail to get the audience up and moving.

Watch below a video to Naia new song “Heatwave”:

Having members and influences from all over the world, Naia have sculpted their own innovative sonic identity, combining the velvety and hypnotic vocals of Nadine Assam with the honed rhythm section that is Charlie Jackson (Guitar), Lumai Francisco (Bass) and Rayan Telleria (Drums). Delighting the sold-out audience of their debut gig at Tamesis Dock, Naia have recently recorded their first E.P. “Forevermore” with Chalkstream Productions.

Jack Blakey on trumpet, Sam King on alto, and Tom Platts on tenor joined the band on the latest single as a three-piece horn section.

They continue to re-imagine their breath-taking song-writing through guitar solos that carry the listener through a different world, inventive and soul-driving basslines, and engaging drum grooves that stimulate both brain and booty.
