Jorja Smith sang the main song “Kiss Me In The Morning” from the Netflix musical drama “The Eddy”. Her debut studio album, "Lost & Found", was released in 2018 to critical acclaim and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. In 2018, Smith won the Brit Critics' Choice Award. In 2019, she was named Best British Female Artist at the 2019 Brit Awards and was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Her last single “Be Honest” featured guest vocals from Nigerian singer Burna Boy, and become a huge summer hit of 2019.

“The Eddy” is a new project directed by Damien Chazelle, known for “Whiplash” and “La La Land”. The story focuses on the owner of a Paris jazz club who ends up getting involved with criminals. He must then fight for his business, his band, and his daughter. The series stars André Holland of "Moonlight", Joanna Kulig of “Cold War”, Amandla Stenberg, Tahar Rahim, and Leila Bekhti. Joanna Kulig is singing this song in the movie.

The Eddy premieres May 8 on Netflix.
