Ryan Porter explodes with raw energy on his new live album “Live in Paris at New Morning“ with West Coast Get Down Crew.

Ryan Porter explodes with raw energy on his new live album “Live in Paris at New Morning“ with West Coast Get Down Crew. The album was recorded on 17th October 2019 at Paris’ historic jazz club New Morning. Live set featured material from his last two full-length albums, "The Optimist" and "Force For Good". That evening started with a tribute to his personal mentor Roy Hargrove, by interpreting his songs “Strasbourg / St. Denis”.

“The day before (the concert) was the late great Roy Hargrove’s birthday and I was honored to be playing at New Morning because it was one of Roy’s favorite jazz clubs to play at in Paris. I had never actually been to New Morning before in my life and it felt great seeing people lined up and wrapped around the corner in the cold to see us perform” Ryan explained his choice of opening song.
