Black Pumas perform their big hit Colors for President Biden-Harris's inauguration welcome event.
Black Pumas is an American psychedelic soul band based in Austin, Texas, led by singer/songwriter Eric Burton and guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada (Brownout, Grupo Fantasma, Ocote Soul Sounds, The Echocentrics). The band released their self-titled debut album in 2019, and the deluxe edition (one of The Wicked Sound favorite Soul Albums of 2020) a year later and received Grammy nominations for Album of the Year, for a deluxe edition.
Colors came as a second single and it is their biggest hit so far. Black Pumas performed Colors already on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The single has been streamed over 100 million times across all platforms, and the official live video of “Colors” has been viewed over 57 million times on YouTube. Colors is nominated for Grammy Award for a Record of the Year and Best American Roots Performance.
USA President-Elect Joe Biden invited the Black Pumas to perform during his Celebrating America Primetime Special during the President's Inauguration activities.
